01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (the Terms) are a binding agreement between you and Naina Garg (the author) and govern your access to and use of nainagarg.com and its subdomains, pages, dashboards, downloadable models, and the "Ask the Thesis" assistant (together, the Site). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to the disclaimers referenced on it. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
02Who may use the Site
The Site is a personal research and portfolio project intended for a general professional audience. It is not directed at any person in a jurisdiction where publishing or accessing it would be unlawful, and it is your responsibility to comply with the laws that apply to you. If you access the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
03Not investment advice
The Site publishes the author's independent equity research, prepared as personal analytical work for educational and portfolio purposes. All content, including price targets, ratings, valuations, models, scenarios, and any AI-generated responses, is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Nothing on the Site is investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security, or an offer of any financial product. It is not personalized to you and creates no advisory or fiduciary relationship. Forward-looking statements are estimates that involve material risk and uncertainty, and past performance does not predict future results. Investing involves risk, including the loss of principal.
04No reliance; your responsibility
Do not rely on the Site for any decision. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Do your own research and consult a licensed financial, legal, or tax professional who knows your circumstances before acting. You use the Site and its content entirely at your own risk.
05Conflicts and positions
The author may hold, and may buy or sell, positions in the securities discussed, and views may change without notice. The author has no affiliation with any company covered unless that affiliation is explicitly disclosed within a specific dashboard, and receives no compensation from any covered company for the research.
06Accuracy, data, and no duty to update
Figures are compiled from public filings and third-party data providers (including Finnhub and Yahoo Finance) and are believed reasonable when published, but they are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current, and many are explicitly illustrative teaching inputs meant to be changed. Data feeds may be delayed, interrupted, or wrong, and are subject to the providers' own terms. Content can become stale, and the author has no obligation to update it. Verify anything important against primary sources before relying on it.
07The AI assistant
The "Ask the Thesis" assistant generates responses using a third-party AI model. Its output may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or fabricated, is not reviewed before you see it, and is not advice. Treat it as an experimental tool, not a source of truth, and do not submit confidential, personal, or sensitive information to it.
The assistant may be rate-limited, changed, or withdrawn at any time. You agree to use it reasonably: no automated, abusive, or high-volume querying, and no attempts to extract system prompts or keys, to overload the service, or to run up its cost.
08Intellectual property
The Site and all of its source code, design, layout, stylesheets, scripts, text, editorial research, charts, models, and data files are the original, copyrighted work of Naina Garg and are protected by intellectual-property law. All rights reserved.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to view the Site in a standard web browser for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, frame, redistribute, sell, license, publicly display, data-mine, scrape in bulk, or create derivative works from any part of the Site, in whole or in part, by any means, without the author's prior written permission.
09Trademarks
Company names, product names, logos, and ticker symbols referenced on the Site are the trademarks or property of their respective owners, used for identification, commentary, and analysis. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by those owners.
10Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) access the Site or its backend services by automated means, or scrape or harvest content in bulk, or exceed reasonable request volumes; (b) probe, scan, attack, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, the AI or quote services, or their infrastructure; (c) circumvent or interfere with rate limits, caching, or security controls; (d) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source secrets, prompts, or keys; (e) remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notice; or (f) use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair it.
11Third-party links and services
The Site references and links to third-party sites, filings, and data. The author does not control and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices, and a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.
12Privacy and analytics
The Site does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information about you. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving tool that does not use cookies or cross-site tracking. Your display-theme choice is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to any server.
When you use the "Ask the Thesis" assistant or a live-price feature, your request, and your IP address (used transiently to prevent abuse), is processed by third-party providers to return a response. Requests may be briefly logged for security and are not used to build a profile of you.
13Availability and changes to the Site
The Site is provided on an "as available" basis. The author may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, including the AI assistant and live-price feeds, at any time and without notice, and does not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
14Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. The author does not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, or reliable, or that the Site is free of errors, viruses, or interruptions.
15Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE AUTHOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
Because the Site is offered free of charge, the author's total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars, or its equivalent in your local currency. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the author from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any right of a third party.
17Governing law and your local rights
The author operates the Site as an individual and may be resident in different countries over time, and readers may access it from anywhere. To the extent a governing law is needed, these Terms are governed by the laws of the author's country of principal residence at the relevant time, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any mandatory rights you have under the consumer-protection or other laws of your own country of residence, which continue to apply to you. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Site is lawful where you are.
18Changes, severability, and contact
The author may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version; the "Updated" date in the footer shows when. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the notices and disclaimers referenced on the Site, are the entire agreement between you and the author regarding the Site. For questions, permission requests, or copyright concerns, reach the author via the About page.
